Everyone knows Sugar is Bad, but how can be avoided...?


SUGAR MAKES YOU FAT !!!!

Everyone knows Sugar and by sugar I mean refined sugar is Bad and consumption of food containing Sugar needs to be reduced to a minimum, but just by knowing that fact you will not get any healthier nor that would benefit to your health in any way!

So how can you avoid sugar or at least reduce the amount of sugar you consume ?

If you don't have time and want to know just the essentials read the red writings.

Yes it is bad for the health! The problem is that not many people know which foods contain refined sugar and even fewer can resist the temptation of having any sort of food that contains refined sugar.

Why is that happening ?

Sugar acts on your reward centre in the brain and for that reason it tricks you and gives you that sense of pleasure, but that is just a trick!!! very quickly after you have had that sweetened meal, snack, drink or whatever. you will start feeling lethargic most likely hungry again and that sense of pleasure will be gone.

It is impossible to be educated on every subject of life and it is extremely difficult to ignore everything that you've been advertised to...

That is why I will now give you few tips that can help you reduce the amount of sugar intakes:

1. Make sure you are never craving for food! Regular small and healthy meals during the day can help you stay away from sweets.

2. Try to drink more water.

3. Instead of candies eat more fruits.

4. Try not to buy candies and sweets on first place so even if you crave for something you don't have it near you.

5. Don't drink soda drinks or anything sweetened.

6. Adding flavours could also help you to avoid sweeteners .. ( Cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, nutmeg, ginger some of those could actually have some extra benefit to your health)

7. Read food labels, learn what are the other names of sugar in the food industry.

I left that for last as i know that is a bit annoying for people to read food labels but it is actually a very good habit

Hey remember not be too bad to yourself even if the body doesn't need it, once or twice a week you can treat yourself with something sweet even if it is shitty and bad for you :D

SOME INTERESTING FACTS:

1.Sugar is in almost 80% of foods in the market

2.Sugar is Biologically addicting

3.When consumed, Sugar gives you sense of pleasure by acting on your reward centre in the brain

4.By consuming sugar you become tolerant to sugar.

It is like cocaine, actually I read somewhere that is more addictive than cocaine..?

SOMETHING FOR No EXTRA COST:

As you know or maybe not insulin is a highly anabolic hormone So those working-out could benefit from having a small sweetened drink about 20minutes after workout to get that spike in the insulin levels ) PLEASE DON'T GO CRAZY WITH THE SIMPLE CARBS AFTER WORKOUTS... as I said just a small sweetened drink..... and there is MUCH MORE to be said on that TOPIC...

Just in case you do have that sweetened drink make sure it is followed by fast digesting protein intake or in other words WHEY PROTEIN!

W.T.F...!!? IT IS NOW 2 A.M. I am off to bed now I have a session with a client at 8am that gives me about 5hrs of sleep that is not good !

Also reminds me about the importance of the good sleep and the amount of hours of sleep everyone should be getting, maybe that would be my next topic !
